Asshole of the Week
Well, it was a mighty close call between this Prince Charming and our weekly winner, but the award goes to...

Newt Gingrich, who dumped his cancer-stricken first wife, Jackie Battley (while she was in the hospital undergoing treatment) for a sucker named Marianne Ginther. When his own pastor criticized him for not supporting his two kids, Gingrich simply left the church.

Not too long after, Newt dumped Ginther for 34-year-old congressional aide Callista Bisek (who is now his 3rd wife)...

My fellow Americans, meet the tanned, rest & ready Defender of Traditional Marriage:

The hypocrisy is SO FUCKING OVERWHELMING that I want to claw my own fucking eyes out. I am seriously feeling physically ill by the Evil that these men bestow upon us with their hateful, disgusting tactics.... and words... and beliefs. Fuck.

I'm as pissed off as you are, b'lieve me.

Suggestion? Vent it out by spreading the word and getting every numb fuck you know to get out and vote. Admittedly, we've got a lock here in Illinois, but if you can help some of this info go viral, it may well do some real good for society.

As I see it, our pug is behind on the judge's scorecards, but I ain't throwin' in the towel. No way. No how.

But, you see, the hypocrisy doesn't bother the Babble-felchers. They honestly believe "faith is more important than works" — that is, so long as you're mouthing the "right" pieties, that's all that matters. "Are yew perfect? Ah'm not...that's why I'm a chreestyun, so gaaawwd will fergive all mah sinz."

Or, as more erudite and cynical righties have put it, "Hypocrisy is the tribute that vice pays to virtue."

Of course, if I conducted my personal life the way the typical loud-mouthed fundie conducts his or hers, I'd sure as shit want to believe in a deity that cared more about what I said than what I did...

Yes, I have always adored the double standards that people hold dear. The best and most recent of which are the people who believe that protesting the war, Republicans, anything related Republican actions, or anything that has to do with "Faith-based" social issues... is somehow unpatriotic. What their narrow, shallow and warped minds cannot seem to get wrapped around is the fact that this country was FOUNDED on protest and dissent from the powers that be. So they sit by and rabidly jeer, sneer and chortle when they see Liberals get arrested for protesting. The worst part is that now the Republicans (aka - our Government) now consider(s) protests such as the ones that happened at the RNC to be Domestic Terrorism... they have even gone so far as to charge people with Domestic Terrorism. And citizens of the United States... THE COUNTRY FOUNDED ON PROTEST AND DISSENT... applaud the arrest, detainment and criminals charges brought against such people. It makes me fucking sick.

What then are we supposed to do if we cannot even protest? Vote for corrupt lying fucks - aka politicians? We cannot even raise Civil War anymore! Any such action would be immediately deemed Domestic Terrorism and since the very Government that owns us happens to be the single largest most destructive force on Earth... they would just "wipe out the terrorists" and leave this country a deeper shade of bloodstained Republican red. Never before in my life have I seen the shining irony of the Republicans choosing red as their party color seem so appropriate.
