Is it wrong of me to want a OBL action-figure? Not because I think the guy was okay or anything, just for the sheer WTF-ery of the whole concept.

As for what the paramedics found... a duct-taped gerbil? Tickets to "A high school musical"? A mummified hand with jewelery still attached? A battery-powered sex-toy? An egg-salad sandwich?

I don't know what you could have had tucked in your waistband that was so unusual, or maybe it was just not something you wanted the paramedics specifically to find? Maybe something tough to resist, but something the medics would have a conniption about, in view of your health. (Like a hip flask? We all have our personal weaknesses. Sweets are mine, not good at all for a diabetic...) But a gun is probably the best guess.

Anyway, you need a good luck infusion. Best wishes are coming your way.

My husband casually announced today "jblaque posted." I haven't been on Livejournal for as long as you have (or longer). I logged on tonight with the sole intention of checking you out, see if you are okay, get the story, etc.

I'm happy to hear you are "not dead," as others so eloquently put it. But, I'm very sad to hear you continue to have (worsening?) issues with your kidneys. My heart also goes out to your family. I'd love to hear, however brief, a little reflection on how your health issues have impacted your spiritual beliefs, your sense of purpose, your idea of time and morality, and your relationship with different people. But, I could be presumptuous and overstepping boundaries by asking.
