Questions - Blaque's Blog of Horrors
"Horror And Moral Terror Are Your Friends"
Where were all the “freedom-loving” right-wingers like this half-wit during the Bush years?

It's a rhetorical question, of course. But one of several that should be asked of the mouth-breathing teabaggers now breaking windows, cutting gas lines and making death threats, all in the name of “freedom from big government”:

We had eight years of Bush and Cheney, but now you're mad?

• You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

• You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

• You didn't get mad when the Patriot Act got pushed through.

• You didn't get mad when we turned tail in Afghanistan and illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

• You didn't get mad when we spent $1 trillion on a no-win "war" in Iraq.

• You didn't get mad when over $10 billion dollars (in hard cash) just “disappeared" there.

• You didn't get mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

• You didn't get mad when, after seven years, they didn't catch Bin Laden.

• You didn't get mad when you saw the heart-wrenching conditions at Walter Reed hospital.

• You didn't get mad when they let New Orleans drown.

• You didn't get mad when they gave a $1.6 trillion in tax breaks to the rich.

• You didn’t get mad when, using reconciliation, a trillion dollars of our tax dollars were redirected to insurance companies for Medicare Advantage — which cost more than 20% more for the same services that Medicare provides.

• You didn't get mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark, and our debt hit the thirteen trillion dollar mark.

No, but you did get mad when the colored guy decided that people in America deserve the right to medical coverage, even if they're poor, sick and/or have "pre-existing conditions."

Illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer... all A-OK with you, but helping other Americans in need? Time to raise some hell, huh?

Come tug on the tiger's tail, you numb fucks. The harder, the better. If he's not awake yet, he will be very soon.

Right-Wingers believe in a purely partisan definition of principle.

My boyfriend and I drove to my local mall (in Northeastern PA) yesterday and saw a bunch of protesters/Teabaggers. One of their signs said, "Legalize the Constitution."

I'm not even sure how to respond to that.

it's not as perplexing as it seems: they didn't get mad until they were told to do so by their lying "conservative" activists, who have somehow managed to populate the entire "liberal media", despite said media being bent on silencing conservatives in order to destroy america.

for all those things above where a thinking person would be outraged, there was a facile, illogical, and even stupid rationalization for it from the Oreillys, Limabaughs, and Becks. weak sauce though it was, it was enough to cast the thinkers as the traitors out to destroy america with their constant hate-born criticism of the government's illegal-but-getting-the-job-done benevolence.

and now one of those thinkers is in the white house. so we're doomed. game over man. the stupids have lost and have no recourse but to riot until Beck and Limbaugh tell them it's safe to stop.

Answer for one of them

> • You didn't get mad when they let New Orleans drown.

Why would they? Look at the general race makeup in New Orleans, why would they care?

On the healthcare side, I'm still not sure if this bill is a good thing, and I'm still not sure it's going to help, I don't know what changes specifically they made to "pre-existing conditions" but I always actually thought that made sense AS LONG AS if you had insurance prior to it, then it shouldn't count, what do I mean? Well, what I really don't want is the case that people can be uninsured (which with the new fines for not having insurance won't be an issue) and then find out they've just gotten something that's going to need time in hospital (or whatever) and can then get insurance, that's not what insurance is for, that's like forcing the auto insurance industry to allow people to get car insurance just after they've had an accident.

We know what was wrong. Maybe it's time to act up and do a repeal & replace of the obnoxious stuff before the pugs take over again.

The pugs? Republicans? Like it makes a difference, since the Democrats have the same agenda. When they do advance something the people want, it's just an act that is ended when one Republican cries fowl and all the Democrats fall over like bowling pins.

...and undoubtedly not getting a straight answer.

I especially love the right-wingers (especially the "libertarians") who now say, "well I didn't like it when Bush was doing it, either!"

Oh ~really?~ So where the fuck where were your howls of protest, your rallies, your threats, your vandalism and your acts of violence then, hm?

Liars, cowards, hypocrites and phonies, the entire lot of 'em.

They get mad because the TV tells them they should be mad.
